Inspirational, Straight Shooting Real Estate

Over the past few weeks I have been absolutely blessed to meet up with some of the most passionate and dynamic people that I’ve ever met within the real estate industry. It is one of the greatest thrills for me as a real estate trainer.

And today was another such occasion. I found it extremely refreshing to meet with & spend a few hours talking with one of the straightest shooters I’ve ever met within our industry.

Milton Rendell not only has a great real estate mind and a real passion for our industry but he also walks the talk by doing some fantastic things for his team at Real Estate Plus and for his clients.

Over lunch we talked about ways that he helps agents move out of their comfort zone. Plus, we looked at a number of ways that real estate salespeople can overcome obstacles, remove their self-limiting beliefs, remain positive, driven and goal focussed, and tie it all together with their core values & maintain family balance/support.

It was one of the best real estate discussions I’ve ever had.

We also delved into some of the leadership issues facing principals, managers & sales people and how they can keep the momentum going regardless of the size of their obstacles.

Beating-The-Clock

Milton & I also looked at a number of ways that principals can remove the time consuming distractions, use leverage more effectively and use targeted prospecting strategies to generate lots of extra leads.

A common issue seemed to be the challenge around helping both principals & salespeople embrace change, especially with technology.

Plus, there seems to be an ongoing battle to steer salespeople away from worrying about what their competitors are doing or offering and bring their whole focus back onto what they are doing or should be doing each day to help them achieve their own personal goals.

Lots of time is wasted by real estate agents who focus too much on what their competitors are doing and many agents go into a listing presentation a bit unsure about whether they will beat their competitors to the listing or not.

If you go into a listing presentation with the fear that you will lose the listing to your competitors then your chance of success will drastically diminish.

You’ll never win with a defeatist attitude and you’ll be amazed what you can achieve if you simply concentrate on what you are possible of achieving rather than constantly looking over your shoulder, worrying about your competition.

Sometimes you need to have a bit of blind faith and simply do your very best.

A perfect example of how this works can be seen in this amazing video about determination, guts and true leadership.

If the only thing you do today is take the 6 minutes to watch this video then no matter what else happened today, your day has been a success.

I hope this video inspires you to forget about your competition and go out and just do your very best. If you do, you’ll be amazed at what you can achieve.

PS: Thank You Milton for providing the inspiration for this article.
